Poppy Hills Golf Course
Overview
Poppy Hills Golf Course is owned by the Northern California Golf Association and sits in the heart of the Del Monte Forest. A 2014 Robert Trent Jones Jr. renovation transformed it into a more natural, sand-and-native-grass layout that drains beautifully and plays firm and fast. Unlike the resort courses nearby, Poppy Hills is fully open to public play and is one of the most accessible ways to experience championship golf on the Monterey Peninsula.
📜 History
Opened in 1986 and renovated by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 2014, Poppy Hills is the only course in the U.S. owned and operated by a regional golf association (the NCGA).
